International Student Orientation
August 24th through August 29th, 2009
The Center for International Faculty and Student Services plans a week long orientation program that is organized like a conference (with multiple events scheduled at the same time). The program includes a variety of information sessions, campus tours, workshops, picnics and receptions, subsidized trips (Broadway show and trip to Philadelphia) and other events. Information provided during International Student Orientation is critical, and all new international students should plan to attend. A registration form and details are mailed to new international students along with the Rutgers Form I-20 or DS-2019.
International students who are also able to attend the 2-day Rutgers Univesity Summer Orientation Program are encouraged to do so, but we understand that most international students will have F-1 or J-1 visa restrictions that will bar them from entering the U.S. more than a month before classes begin.
Information for the 2010 International Student Orientation Program will be posted in the coming months.
