Welcome, Our New Scarlet Knights to Rutgers!

Orientation for our new Scarlet Knights is a way to make relationships with your fellow incoming students, learn more about the Rutgers campus, connect with Rutgers offices, resources and staff, and get guidance from current Rutgers students.

Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis so don’t delay!

For more information about Summer Orientation, click on one of the tabs below. Please note that all First Year Orientation sessions are two full days with an overnight component. Transfer Orientation is a one-day program, with one session having an overnight option.

If you are an Engineering, Environmental and Biological Sciences, Nursing, Honors College, First Generation, or an Out of State student, please click on the Priority Sessions button to figure out which summer orientation session is right for you.

If you are an incoming International student, you are required to attend International Orientation. International students should visit globalservices.rutgers.edu or contact globalservices@gaiacenters.rutgers.edu with questions.

We look forward to having you join us on campus this summer for an orientation program.

Summer 2019 Orientation

Welcome to the Scarlet Knight Family!  We’re looking forward to meeting you at an upcoming Orientation program!  Our primary goal is to ensure that every student walks away from their orientation program with the resources, tools and answers to make sure their first semester is a successful one.  All new students are expected to attend a summer orientation program.

Our summer sessions are designed specifically for domestic first-year, transferring, returning and non-traditional students enrolling at Rutgers for the fall semester of 2019.

Rutgers is a unique and special place. It’s five campuses, robust academic programs and thousands of ways to get involved outside the classroom make Rutgers unlike any other university in the nation. We are here to help you feel more prepared, confident and excited about joining the Rutgers family. Rutgers Orientation will help students like you connect with students, staff, faculty that will help you succeed in your transition to Rutgers.
